2019 Fair Haven Halloween Egg Hunt and Parade

Fair Haven - Little ghouls, goblins, and super heroes took to the streets as part of Fair Haven’s annual Halloween Egg Hunt and Costume parade. Festivities began at Sportsman’s Field across from Knollwood School where participants lined up anxiously as they looked at a field filled with halloween themed eggs with candy inside. At the signal all the children rushed forward and in approximately a minute had wiped the field clean of eggs. Next, the town’s children marched down Hance Rd and onto River Rd finally ending in front of the community firehouse. There participants were treated to donuts and juice as they waited for the results of the costume competition. Winners of the competition were given gift certificates to businesses in town. Although the weather was gloomy the smiles on all the children’s faces as they paraded down the road was sure to brighten the day of onlookers.
