2019 Earth Day Festival & Greenway Walk
Holmdel - Cloudy skies and a light drizzle weren’t enough to stop people from going out to Bayonet Farms which hosted the Earth Day Festival & Greenway Walk. As the clouds began to part and the sun return, guests of all ages were invited to learn more about the environment around us and how we can be better stewards of it. Children were invited to get up close to farm animals at the petting zoo while others enjoyed live musical performances and the chance to meet with various environmental groups. Among the presentations and activities was one by Rutgers Master Gardener and local beekeeper Angela Juffey who described for attendees just how remarkable bees can be in addition to just how crucial they are to the environment. Everyone who attended learned a bit more on how to Go Green!
