2019 Red Bank Classic 5k

Red Bank - 1,514 runners descended on Red Bank for the annual running of the popular Res Bank Classic 5k. Among the runners was Governor Murphy’s wife, Tammy who was running in her husbands stead. Runners filled a large section of broad street while they warmed up for the challenge ahead led by a trainer from Soul Strong. Once the race began runners were tasked with ascending tower hill as they made their way through the race route. First place went to Dave Favorito from Galloway with a time of 16:45. The first woman to cross the finish line was eight year old Ava Johnson from Haddonfield with an incredible time of 18:38. Before the awards ceremony Katie McAdoo of the Red Bank Family YMCA thanked all the racers and the race committee for being the main beneficiaries of the race. It was said that the money would be put right back into the community including providing financial assistance so no child would be turned away from being able to enjoy all the Red Bank Family YMCA has the offer.
