Christmas in Allaire Village 2019
Howell - The Historic Village at Allaire celebrated the holiday season with its Christmas at Allaire event December 15th. People from all over the state came to enjoy the historical festivities taking place at Allaire State Park. Carolers walked around the village filling the crisp December air with the sounds of Christmas music. Inside the bakery, the sweet smell of fresh Christmas cookies and other baked goods proved irresistible to those passing by. At the carpentry shop, volunteers showed different toys that Santa might have brought to the children who lived in the factory town. At the enameling building, children gathered around as a volunteer read the Christmas classic poem “A Visit from St. Nicholas” by Clement Clarke Moore. These are just some of the many activities that park goers young and old got to enjoy. For those interested, the final Christmas at Allaire day is scheduled for December 22nd and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
