American Littoral Society Fall Surf Fishing Clinic
Sandy Hook - Surf fishing has been called one of the most difficult styles of fishing to master. It requires a keen awareness of both ones environment and ones equipment in order to be successful. Members of the American Littoral Society recently held their fall surf fishing clinic at their Sandy Hook location to introduce members of the general public to the art of surf fishing. From explaining the effects different rods, fishing tackle, and knots have to how the tide and beach geography can make one a better fisher, society members Jeff Dement, Glenn Kerkhan, and Dr. Andrew Soiefer shared their years of experience with attendees to help them be more effective while on the beach.
