2019 Red Bank Holiday Decorations

Red Bank - To most of us, seeing lights and decorations appear around town marks the start of the holiday season but have you ever wondered how these decorations are put up? That’s where people like Jim Bruno and Powerhouse Signworks come in. For over 10 years, Jim and his crew of 6 have refined the process of decorating Red Bank down to an efficient system. Street poles have brackets already installed in them and decorations are laid out the night before so that when Jim and his crew arrive at 6am, they are able to make quick work of hanging wreaths and signs. The group moved from street to street spreading the joy of the season with each decoration hung as bystanders stopped to take in the sight of the men at work. You can see their handy work all over Red Bank, from Broad St, West Front St, Wallace St, Mechanic St and White St. The crown jewel, of course, is the Christmas tree over in Riverside Garden Park. This year’s tree is reportedly one of the biggest yet standing proudly at 35 ft tall and is sure to be a crowd pleaser when it and much of Red Bank become covered with lights during the Holiday Express Red Bank town lighting occurring November 30th.
